Lately there’s been some aurora sightings in the area. Unfortunately, they’ve been on cloudy nights and/or just too late for a guy with a day job to go out and see. Hopefully I’ll get the chance again one of these days. In the meantime, here are a few shots I managed to take a couple of years ago.

So cool. I remember the time my southern cousins were up visiting and saw the northern lights for the first time – they were totally freaked out and thought a nuclear bomb went off or something ( we were “up north” – about 70 miles north of Green Bay, WI- and it’s funny telling a Canadian our description of “up north”…lol- anyway they really thought Green Bay was under attack.)
Haha, that is funny. I could understand it if they were seeing it for the first time and had never heard of it before, but you’d think they would have at least heard of it?
I know- we had to explain it to them a few times. They were young- teenagers and young adults – but still.
