Random Number Photo 3567 is a great blue heron in flight. Probably one of the easier birds to photograph in the air because they are pretty large and don’t fly particularly fast.

Ha, that’s funny, I hadn’t even checked my reader yet. Yours is a great shot too, hard to catch them with the fish still in their bill.
I’m jealous of your shot… I’ve tried to get them in flight, but always just miss… of course, I probably don’t have as much patience as you do, to sit around and wait…
It was definitely a case of being at the right place at the right time.
