Why Did the Bison Cross the Road?

We went out to Elk Island National Park yesterday. We saw a few bison off in the distance when we first arrived, but none really close enough to photograph. So after driving around for a while and doing a couple small hikes we decided to call it a day. Just as we were almost back at the park entrance, we saw a group of bison coming up to cross the road. I was glad to get a few shots after seeing nothing so far in the day. And the answer to the question? Apparently it is ‘To poop on it’. I think I need to go to the carwash now…
