I don’t actually have any photos of a groundhog. However, I do have one of some rock hyrax, which look similar. Strangely though, they are more closely related to elephants and manatees (source). When we were on Table Mountain in South Africa there were lots of these little guys just chilling out right on the edge of the 1km drop.
